Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan is pleased to share Winter City Snow Glow, a winter wonderland of lighting designs to help brighten your winter during our darkest months! J.J. Neufled has created a plethora of engaging designs to delight Saskatonians as they pass through our site on the Meewasin Valley Trail from December 15, 2020 to March 31, 2021. For most of the winter each lighting show will run Tuesday to Sunday from 6:00AM until sunrise and then from sunset to 11:00PM. The only exception is our feature design Welcome to the O will run at these same times, but for seven days a week!

Come to the Cameco Meewasin Skating Rink @Nutrien Plaza & enjoy this classic winter activity! Safety precautions in place to keep you safe! About this Event Meewasin wants to encourage the community to safely spend time outdoors this winter season and enjoy the opportunities to be active in a safe environment. The Cameco Meewasin Skating Rink @Nutrien Plaza, located beside the Delta Bessborough Hotel, is open to the public from 1:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Weekly bookings are scheduled to go live on Mondays at 12:00 noon. Additional precautions are in place based on the Government of Saskatchewan guidelines to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.

February 16-19 – Online Art Camps – February Break Edition | Remai Modern
February 16-19 Morning camp (9 to 12 years) 10 AM to noon Afternoon camp (6 to 8 years) 1 to 3 PM Remai Modern’s four-day, online art camps offer fun and innovative artmaking activities to engage your child during the school break. Experienced artist-educators guide and inspire campers through a two-hour Zoom session each day. Art materials are included in the camp fee and can be delivered or available for curbside pickup.

February 16 – Weekly Hack Night – Saskatoon TechWorks
Tuesdays are our regular “Hack” night when we encourage members to come out, work on projects, share their projects, and maybe even just hang out. This also makes them a great night for visitors to drop in and check out our place. There is usually someone around by 7pm, but if you really don’t like waiting a few minutes, it might be better to show up around 7:30pm. Most Tuesdays there are people around into the wee hours, so don’t feel bad about dropping in after, say, 9pm or even later.

February 18 – Ladies Night — Wet Paint Pottery
We love your children, and they are so much fun to have in the studio, but occasionally we all need a little break and some grown up time. That’s why we created our adult paint night specifically for those 13 and over. Every Thursday night from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM the studio is reserved for people 13 years and older.

February 18 – Woodshop 101 — Saskatoon Makerspace: A makerspace in the heart of downtown Saskatoon.
Interested in woodworking? In this class you will create a wooden toolbox/beer carrier while learning to use the table saw, drill press, belt sander, and various other small hand tools. You will learn the fundamental skills to use all of the tools in the wood shop safely. In order to use the wood shop, this class is required. \ Please wear close toed shoes and tie up long hair. Ear plugs and safety glasses will be provided.

February 19-20 – Metal Shop Welding 101 Part 2 — Saskatoon Makerspace: A makerspace in the heart of downtown Saskatoon.
In this combined metal shop and welding workshop, participants will have an opportunity to learn safe operation of a variety of tools in order to complete a six sided die project. Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants should be able to:

The starting point will be at the north end of the city until next spring. I thought it would be good to start now to explore and plan the route. We will start from the building below and finish inside to warm up with plenty of room to distance. I will supply the coffee and we can take turns with treats.
