Here’s our first 5 for Friday.

It’s our way of doing a weekly highlight of great people and things in Saskatoon.

Each week we pick “what to do”, “who to know”, “where to go”, “featured business”, and a “featured non profit”.

Take a minute to do your own shout out to these fine people and places.

What to Do: Skate at Meewasin Skating Rink
Come to the Cameco Meewasin Skating Rink @Nutrien Plaza & enjoy this classic winter activity! Safety precautions in place to keep you safe! Meewasin wants to encourage the community to safely spend time outdoors this winter season and enjoy the opportunities to be active in a safe environment.

Who to Know: Charlie Clark
Charlie Clark was elected Mayor of Saskatoon in 2016, and re-elected in 2020, with a mandate to make Saskatoon the city that gets it right – on planning for growth, creating economic opportunities, and improving safety and quality of life for all residents.

Where to Go: Remai Modern
Remai Modern, a new museum of modern and contemporary art, opened on October 21, 2017 in Saskatoon, a growing city on the Canadian Prairies. The building includes 11 gallery spaces, a 150-seat theatre, Shift restaurant, outdoor terraces and rooms with stunning views of the South Saskatchewan River. We provide a Canadian and Saskatchewan perspective on global modern and contemporary art movements through a mix of regional, national and international programs.
